Flavors of the Month: November 2013
Pumpkins pumpkins everywhere! Pumpkins pumpkins in our.. pies.. and pastas... and lattes.. and pints. Our first autumn pint is inspired by a favorite fall recipe for the season's most prolific fruit -- pumpkin bread. We like ours speckled with nuts and swirled with chocolate, so we're making our pints the same.
Purple Passion Pie
The harbinger of fall in Milkmade land is the concord grape. With its arrival, autumn sets in. And we begin to craft our yearly concord creation. This year, we've taken a tip from the Grape Pie Capital of the World (in Naples, NY, of course) to create Purple Passion Pie. It's our signature concord grape ice cream, almost Welch's-sweet in taste, with chunks of grape pie.
