"The concord grape flavor was so clear." — Halayne E.
Scare-amel Apple
We were a bit bummed to learn that Caramel Apples were created by a sales rep at Kraft in the 1950s. We were hoping for something a bit more authentic, perhaps regional and tied to the legends of Sleepy Hollow. But that’s not stopping us from turning our favorite October treat into a delicious ice cream. We’re using fresh McIntosh apples from Red Jacket Orchard, turning sugar into caramel, and then mixing it all together for a creamy caramel apple taste.
Peanut Butter Jelly Time
We all know fall is near when concord grapes show up at the farmer’s market. Those delicious, sweet, yet ephemeral grapes - we just can’t get enough of them before they’re gone. And they’re almost gone! But luckily, New York is the second large producer of concords and we got our hands on some from Red Jacket Orchards in the Finger Lakes Region of New York. We’ve created a sweet grape ice cream and accented it with, what else, peanut butter! With Saratoga Peanut Butter Co’s creamy Plain Jane, we’re adding a salty peanut butter swirl that will bring you back to your childhood lunches with every bite.
